Parker Homestead

Parker Homestead is a recreated 19th century town located  six miles south of Harrisburg. . A vast collection of buildings and artifacts from times past, the Homestead brings history to life every year in the fall. Owned and operated by four generations of Parkers, the Homestead has evolved from an interest in local history and a desire to preserve it for the enjoyment of others. There are many things to see and do at the Homestead, including events and gatherings held year round. From school field trips and church gatherings to weddings and an annual festival, there is something for everyone. The highlight of each year is an annual festival held in October to mark the celebration at the end of the sorghum harvest season.
