Monette Mural

The Monette Mural was painted by Candice Teeter Dunigan of Monette.  It is both historic and educational, reflecting the role of cotton in the development of the town, from picking by hand to mechanical pickers.  The mural also shows the stages of cotton growth -- from seedling to open boll.  Monette's history as one of the five towns that make up an area known as Buffalo Island is acknowledged in the mural as well.
