Lake Poinsett State Park
Excellent fishing and boating, plus paved campsites with full hookups, a nature trail and pavilion. Lake Poinsett is 640-acres and it is nestled atop Crowley's Ridge in northeast Arkansas. It is a special getaway for bass, bream, catfish, and crappie fishing. The state park offers 30 campsites (Class A and Class B), picnic areas, a screened standard pavilion, playground, trail, launch ramp, and boat rentals. From Harrisburg, travel one mile east on Ark. 14, then go three miles south on Ark. 163 to the park. Camping fees, discounts, and winter rates.
