Johnny Cash Highway

Named in honor of the town's most famous son -- legendary country musician Johnny Cash. The highway (also designated as Arkansas 297 or Main Street) begins at its junction with Arkansas 14 and ends two miles south of Dyess. At the town center, it intersects with Gene Williams Road (2nd Street), named for the country music radio/television personality who also grew up in Dyess.
