Forrest L. Wood Crowley's Ridge Nature Center
The Nature Center tells the story of the unique ridge that traverses the Arkansas segment of the Mississippi Delta with indoor and outdoor exhibits, films and trails. The 17,033-square-foot, three-story facility features education, exhibit and meeting space on 160 acres. The center adjoins the southern boundary of Craighead Forest Park. The nature center grounds include a 5.5-acre prairie, 2.5-acre pond and approximately 100 acres of woodland with trails. The nature center facility includes an exhibit area, observation tower, Discovery Room, grounds, and gift shop. Ten-year anniversary renovations of the facility include a 1,000-gallon aquarium, a 600-gallon aquarium for alligators and other reptiles, a new film on hunting and fishing, and more! Educational programs are offered daily, except on Mondays when the Center is closed.
