Crowley's Ridge State Park
This retreat lies atop the forested Crowley's Ridge. Many of the park's features date from the early 1930s when the Civilian Conservation Corps built the facilities. The cozy log and stone facilities include four fully equipped, modern duplex cabins with kitchens; a group cabin area with rental kitchen and dining hall; 26 campsites-18 Class A and eight tent sites; picnic areas; snack bar; trails; interpretive programs, standard pavilions; 31-acre fishing lake (electric motors only); and a 3 1/2-acre swimming lake. Camping fees, discounts, and winter rates. Swimming Beach/Snack Bar hours from May 25-Aug. 10: Noon to 6 p.m. Monday-Thursday; Noon to 7 p.m. Friday-Sunday.
