Court Square Park

This downtown park hosts annual community events, including the Helena Holiday Festival. The park also features a reproduction field artillery piece accompanied by wayside panels interpreting Phillips County’s Confederate soldiers. Across the park, a bronze statue depicts a student in Southland College, a Quaker school created for African American children orphaned by the Civil War. The Elaine Massacre Memorial recently was unveiled on the square.
