Everyone loves a party! And the folks of the Arkansas Delta are no exception! Somewhere in one of our 15 counties, someone is celebrating something every day of the year! We celebrate holidays observed around the world, across the United States and holidays unique to our own Delta communities.
We commemorate historic events that happened during our state’s infancy and we mark events that took place more recently, during the War between the States and the World Wars.
We celebrate the characteristics that make us different and make us proud, as we honor our melting-pot blend of ethnic backgrounds. We celebrate our musical heritage and the contributions we’ve made to American commerce and culture. We even celebrate the crops we grow!
And nothing makes us beam more than when we can share our celebrations with visitors. Whether you’re a newcomer or an old friend, we’re glad to have you join us as we celebrate. We’ll see you at our Independence Day spectacles or our Christmas parades. We’ll share our music with you at the highly acclaimed King Biscuit Blues Festival or a a concert honoring favorite son Johnny Cash.
And in most cases, you’ll have opportunities to enjoy mouthwatering fare from local vendors or take home hand-crafted reminders of your visit with us.
