Clay County Attractions

Visitors to Clay County are treated to changing vistas, including bluffs, rolling hills, orchards, pastures, wetlands and agricultural lands.  The county is divided by Crowley’s Ridge, which provides some especially dramatic scenery at Chalk Bluff, where the St. Francis River cuts through and forms the boundary between Missouri and Arkansas. The city of Piggott was a key setting for the film, A Face in the Crowd, starring Patricia Neal and Any Griffith. Discover great shopping opportunities for antiques and gifts on the Piggott square.
