Wynne

Population: 8615

Named for J. W. Wynne, a prosperous merchant who resided in nearby Forrest City, the town was incorporated in 1888 and became the county seat in 1889. Wynne is unusual in that it is laid out at the junction of the same railroad, the St. Louis, Iron Mountain & Southern, which crosses itself north-south and east-west.
