The Festival Grants Matching Funds Program, sponsored by the Arkansas Delta Byways Association, is designed to stimulate tourism by promoting festivals in our 15-county region. The grant program has limited funds and is not designed to provide total financing for advertising and promoting your festival. It serves, however, as an incentive and endorsement for those communities that are working toward promoting tourism in the region.
All applicants must be current members in good standing of the Arkansas Delta Byways Association.
All applicants must be advertisers in the current Arkansas Delta Byways Brochure. No more than $1,000 will be awarded per full-page ad. If multiple applications are received, the $1,000 funds will be equally distributed among the festival applicants who qualify for funding.
Festival Granting period is January 1, 2012 – December 31, 2012. Arkansas Delta Byways will begin taking applications on July 1, 2011 through January 31, 2012. ALL grant applications must be received in the ADB office no later than January 31, 2012. Advertising supporting materials must be submitted with the application for festivals that have already occurred and no later than 60 days after the event for festivals occurring after the application is submitted.
Grant allocations (matched 50-50) are based on funding available with a maximum of $1,000 per festival. Grant funds only apply to paid advertising dollars spent (not public service dollars) to entice visitors to your festival. Suggested forms of advertising: radio, television, newspaper, flyers, posters, billboards, etc. It does not apply to material used at the festival such as t-shirts, posters, caps, banners, programs, etc.
All Arkansas Delta Byways Festival Grant Applications must address the following criteria:
Failure to meet or follow the above guidelines will constitute loss of matching funds.
This site is paid for with a combination of state funds, private regional association funds, and a National Scenic Byway grant.
